Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. To ensure fairness to both our clients and our team, the following cancellation policy applies:
Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment
Due to the limited notice, cancellations made 24 hours or less before the appointment will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided as it becomes difficult to fill the spot on such short notice.
Cancellations between 48 to 72 hours prior to the scheduled appointment
If you need to cancel your appointment between 48 and 72 hours before the scheduled time, a 50% penalty will be charged. You will receive a refund of 50% of the total fee paid. This allows us some time to adjust our schedule but still impacts our ability to rebook your slot.
Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the appointment are fully refundable, with no penalties applied. This provides us ample time to reallocate resources and accommodate other clients.
Tour Description
A fantastic experience in the heart of the Food Valley to discover three world-class products: Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma Ham and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
Thanks to the strategic location of the Reggio Emilia AV Mediopadana station, this tour is extremely convenient for those arriving from Milan or Florence: in less than an hour by train you can set off to discover the authentic flavors of Emilia, between Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma.
Please note: the Reggio Emilia AV Mediopadana station is not the central train station of Reggio Emilia. It is the High-Speed station, located outside the city, served exclusively by Frecciarossa and Italo trains. If you are arriving from Bologna, we recommend booking the tour with departure from Parma, which is easier to reach.
The tour begins at the Reggio Emilia High-Speed station and continues to a traditional dairy farm, where you will see first-hand the different stages of Parmigiano Reggiano production in the province of Parma.
It will be possible to watch the extraction of the new forms of Parmesan, visit the brine room and the maturing warehouse.
At the end, there will be a tasting of two different cheese ages accompanied by local wine.
Afterwards, we move towards the area of where Parma ham is born. After an introduction relating to the territory, a visit to the production rooms of the ham factory and to the maturing rooms is foreseen. At the end of the visit there will be a tasting of Parma ham aged for 24 months with homemade bread and wine from the hills of Parma.
To conclude, we will move towards the Balsamic vinegar factory in the city of Modena. A visit to the company and the processing rooms is planned, where the "black gold" is produced, aged and stored in ancient wooden barrels.
There will therefore be a tasting of aged traditional PDO balsamic vinegars and other PGI balsamic vinegars
